This policy should be read in conjunction with the terms of service, and privacy policy of TeamUp, the third party professional management software that we use for data collection including registrations, bookings and payments.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you register and make a booking on our website through a third party website, TeamUp.

You can see TeamUp’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on their page. Use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

The website itself is produced on squarespace and according to their processes: they use cookies to run the site and obtain information about visitors for Squarespace analytics. To help us comply with legal requirements, we have:

  • Disabled the Activity Log, so we don’t collect or see visitors’ IP addresses or other personal data.

  • Disabled Squarespace analytic cookies so we don’t place these non-essential cookies on your browsers.

  • Displayed a cookie banner so you can opt into your use of cookies.

What type of information is collected from you?

Personal information is collected when you agree to sign up and book via Teamup. They collect information including your name, address, phone number, email address, as well as emergency information and related questionnaires to ensure it is safe for you to undertake Nordic Walking.

You can see TeamUp’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on their page which gives full disclosure of information collected. Use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

We do not directly ask for any details on the website as we do not have any newsletter or subscribe form.

How is your information used?

We may use your information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining our services to you. We require your personal details for us to enter into a contract with you and to carry out our obligations.

  • Notifying you about any changes to our services.

  • Providing support.

  • Asking for your views or comments on the services we provide.

  • Supplying you with information by email that you have opted-in to (you may unsubscribe or opt-out at any time by emailing us or writing to us).

Personal information held via TeamUp follows their policies. Retention periods for personal information are reviewed regularly and personal information are held on the system for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We will not release your information to third parties, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

The personal information you input on our third party booking site, TeamUp, follows their policies and we encourage you to familiarise yourself with those to ensure you are happy. Use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

Payments

We use third-party services for payment processing.

All sensitive information goes through TeamUp and payments made directly to our third-party payment processor whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

The payment processor we currently work with is Stripe. Their Privacy Policy can be viewed at https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.  We may from time to time use other payment processors.

Nordicymru will never ask for you to pay us directly or to supply us with any card details.

How you can access and update your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us. If any information changes, please update your TeamUp account and also let us know at nordicymru@outlook.com.

Some details (such as non-sensitive details like your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, which cannot be guaranteed 100% secure. As a result, even though we do everything we can to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we do the best to ensure its security on our systems.

Use of ‘cookies’
